# A stalled initiative. Six weeks to production.

## Context

A customer-facing Expedia initiative had been in development for roughly two years when I took over the work.

## Challenge

The team needed to turn an extended development effort into a deliverable product while working with technology that was unfamiliar to its members.

## What I did

I led a five-person team, used an early cloud architecture, and trained the team on the stack. I brought technical direction and delivery responsibility together so the group could learn the system while moving it toward production.

## Result

We reached production in approximately six weeks from my taking over the initiative. The work was broadly launched on Expedia.com.

## What it demonstrates

Rapid execution under ambiguity: providing a technical path, developing the team’s capability, and turning stalled work into a production outcome.
